Introduction

The Federation of Uganda Social Enterprises (FUSE) is a national umbrella organization that promotes, supports, and represents social enterprises across Uganda. Established to strengthen the social entrepreneurship ecosystem, FUSE works with social enterprises, development partners, government institutions, investors, and civil society organizations to create sustainable solutions to social, economic, and environmental challenges. Through advocacy, capacity building, networking, and access-to-finance initiatives, the federation helps social enterprises increase their impact and contribute to Uganda’s sustainable development.

History and Background

The Federation of Uganda Social Enterprises was established to provide a unified platform for Uganda’s growing community of social enterprises. Recognizing the important role that social businesses play in addressing poverty, unemployment, education gaps, healthcare challenges, and environmental issues, the federation was created to strengthen collaboration and support within the sector.

Over the years, FUSE has emerged as a leading voice for social entrepreneurship in Uganda, helping to connect entrepreneurs with resources, knowledge, markets, and investment opportunities.
